LeBron James sets Christmas Day record in Lakers’ win over Warriors

LeBron James made NBA history on Christmas Day as the Los Angeles Lakers secured a dramatic 115-113 victory over the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco.

The win marked James’ 11th Christmas Day victory, the most in NBA history, achieved in his 19th appearance. Despite losing Anthony Davis to a left ankle injury just eight minutes into the game, the 39-year-old James led the Lakers with 31 points.

Austin Reaves sealed the win with a decisive lay-up in the final second, capping his triple-double performance of 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. “Everyone has to chip in, especially on the defensive end because AD is our anchor,” said James, praising his team for stepping up in Davis’ absence.

The Lakers controlled much of the game but faced a late surge from Stephen Curry, who scored 38 points, including two clutch three-pointers in the final seconds to tie the game. However, Reaves’ game-winning drive ensured the Lakers prevailed.
