Boxing world champ Paul Bamba dies at 35, days after title victory

The boxing world is in shock following the sudden death of Paul Bamba, just days after the 35-year-old won his first world championship belt by defeating Rogelio Medina.

Bamba, who set a record for most knockouts in a calendar year with 14, held an impressive career record of 19-3. Known for his fierce ambition and charisma, Bamba was also the first boxer signed by pop star NE-YO’s management company.

While the cause of his death has not been disclosed, NE-YO and Bamba’s family released a heartfelt statement mourning the loss of a beloved champion whose “light and love touched countless lives.”
