Dango Ouattara’s 89th-minute strike salvaged a point for Bournemouth in a 2-2 draw at Fulham, extending both sides’ unbeaten runs to seven Premier League games.
Raul Jimenez opened the scoring for Fulham in the 40th minute, capitalising on poor Bournemouth defending to notch his sixth goal of the season and tie Javier Hernandez as the Premier League’s joint-highest-scoring Mexican.
Bournemouth equalised early in the second half through Evanilson’s tight-angle finish, only for Harry Wilson to restore Fulham’s lead with a superb header in the 72nd minute.
Fulham came close to securing victory, but Dean Huijsen’s crucial goal-line clearance denied Jimenez a second, and Ouattara’s deft late finish over Bernd Leno secured the Cherries a hard-fought draw in a fiery encounter that saw VAR controversy over Ryan Christie’s challenge on Antonee Robinson. Bournemouth will next face Everton, while Fulham take on Ipswich Town.
