Dominic Young addresses rugby union rumours

Sydney Roosters star winger Dominic Young has acknowledged past consideration of a switch to rugby union but reaffirmed his commitment to the Roosters.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph (Australia) Young dismissed recent rumours of a code switch, saying that while he explored union opportunities before joining the NRL, he remains focused on his current contract, which runs until the end of 2027.

Young’s manager, Michael Cincotta, highlighted strong interest in the winger from rugby union, praising Young’s athleticism and potential for a seamless transition if the opportunity arises in the future.

At just 23, Young has already scored 63 tries in 73 NRL games and nine tries in six Tests for England, making him a standout talent. As the Roosters contend with several high-profile departures and injuries, retaining Young is crucial for the club’s future success.
